At the local community college which I am currently taking my cooking classes during the weekend, this summer they are offering a new program with a total of 16 classes that enable one to get a certificate in wedding planning. It’s definitely sound like a lot of fun and was quite interesting.
I thought for a moment, what makes a good wedding planner? At my wedding last October, our wedding planner was an expert in her field for it was everything I imagined and much more. She timed everything prefect and the whole event was flawless. I was luckily to already be best friends with her, yet she insist on meeting us once a week to get to know my husband much more. We constantly communicated via phone, e-mail or face to face. Many questions were asked, but I remembered one of the things she kept telling us to purchase was Wedding Insurance. With Hawaii’s weather, we are prone to hurricane and tsunami, but no matter where you are located, getting insurance is important to protect your “biggest day”. It’s one less stress to worry about.
Enjoy the wedding!

As Cindy Lauper’s most famous song, “Girls just wanna have fun”, ladies it your last chance to go wild before the BIG DAY. How are you going to celebrate with your girlfriends? This is your last hurrah as a single lady.
Planning a great bacherlorette bash on a budget is easier than you think. Below are some examples:
Outdoor Adventures
Going to your local government’s office to obtain a camping permit is not only easy, but rather affordable. You can pitch a tent, build a fire, play games, listen to the radio, take pictures or even chat all night. To keep cost even lower, you can have each girlfriends bring something whether it is food, wine, camping gear or games. Enjoy living in the wild!!
Cooking up some fun
While attending cooking school, it was not only educational, but a whole lot of fun. Why not share this experiences with your girlfriends? Many school offer one-time classes that are ideal for bachelorette party. Discuss what each person would like to make and your budget, then go over the details with the instructor and agree on a date. You’re all set for a night of friends, fun and food. Bon Appetite!
A day at the spa
Look in the yellow pages for your local cosmetology school. Here you’ll get all the pampering you ever wanted for a much cheaper price and be able to help students get the much needed experience that they so desire. A definitely a win-win situation for both side. Doesn’t it feel good to also help other people?
Lunch Services
There are a handful of restaurant that closed for lunch, but if you enjoyed the food and kindly ask them, there is always an exception. I had my wedding shower at a Italian restaurant where the whole staffs was waiting on us. What was really special was that we got the whole restaurant to ourselves without paying the hefty dinner prices!

Since Valentine Day was yesterday and you’re bound to see, hear or even witness yourself —yup! there was lots of wedding proposals. Whether you propose on the top of Empire State Building or the comfort of your own home, a wedding can be a fun occasion or something quite stressful.
Don’t worry! As I am here to share my knowledge of wedding and to help you along the way. As the snow begin to clear and Spring is right around the corner. It is the best time browing for your centerpeice. The wedding centerpiece will help set the mood of your party and can range from fun to casual or elegant to chic.
First, think about what type of atmosphere are going going for and second what type of table are your guests going to be seating at. Is it a small round table or a larger rectangle table? Whatever you decide to do, the most important thing is to have fun.
Below are some flower centerpieces at a wedding expo I went to:

I love the simplest of these single rose

The Grand Centerpiece

Using green as a theme color

Did you ever wear shoes that gave you blisters or aching feet? We all went through problems of tried feet and sometimes even bloody ones, but no beautiful bride want to experience that on her “Big Day.” We all spent top dollars to make our wedding everything we ever dream of and more, but often times we neglect the simplest things. More times then ever, your guests would want group pictures which will make you stand for a long period of time. Then you have the ceremony and the first dance. By the end of the night, your feet are screaming for some fresh air.
What to do?
- Break in your shoe 2 weeks before the wedding so that you will be comfortable wearing if for a long extended time
- Have another pair on the side just in case the first one break. That actually happen to me on my wedding day and I wasn’t even out the front gate yet!
- One of my biggest secret is using Dr.Scholl. It does wonder to a pair of high heel as I feel the pressure lifted off of my feet. I have them in mostly all my shoe from running to boot and even my flats!
- If your the type of girl that is not used to wearing heels, take time out to practice. Wear it to the mall, grocery store or even out to the movie.
